Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, leave Kampala heading southwards to the home of the gorilla’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a stopover will be made at the Equator as you proceed to Mbarara town for lunch. Along the way the sight of the acacia savanna as well as long-horned cattle being grazed are common, this is a characteristic breed of this region as you move further south in the Kigezi region the scenery will automatically change it will be more hilly and the terraced kind of farming differentiates this area. Your 8 hours journey will end at your lodge in Bwindi for your well-deserved rest and dinner at Bwindi Engagi Lodge / Bwindi Jungle Lodge (C) or Bakiga Lodge / Gorilla Valley Lodge (E).

 

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in the Tropical rain forest
After an early breakfast and a briefing from the guides of Uganda Wildlife Authority, you will set off for the gorilla tracking experience. The activity will begin at 8 am depending on the gorilla group assigned and it may take like 6-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas as they migrate looking for food. Armed with your packed lunch and water, you are expected to have dressed appropriately and a walking stick provided by the rangers, in case you need a porter to help with the language and help in steep areas you can hire one at a reasonable fee. The gorilla viewing will last an hour, watch them eat, and bond which will be an indeed rewarding encounter. Return to your lodge at leisure for dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs lodge (C) or Bakiga Lodge /Gorilla Valley Lodge (E)

 

Day 3: Bwindi – Kampala
After breakfast, you will return to Kampala at leisure with lunch en route. Reserved for evening flights from Entebbe. Half Board
